Katarina Ernestus is a licensed speech-language pathologist and healthcare leader passionate about senior care, patient dignity, and equitable access. She holds a B.A. from SUNY Geneseo, an M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from NYU, and an MBA from NYU Stern.

Katarina began her clinical career in Austin, TX, specializing in tracheostomy care and cognitive-communication therapy in skilled nursing facilities. She quickly rose to leadership roles, and within 3 years, was overseeing 3 skilled nursing facilities and 250 patients as a Director of Rehabilitation. It was here she learned the ins and outs of the healthcare system, and how to navigate insurance and healthcare programming to benefit her patients. After working in this position for 2 years, Katarina decided to return to school and pursue her MBA from NYU Stern in order to learn more about the healthcare system, and help patients at a higher level through education. After earning her MBA, she joined Biogen’s global leadership development program, where she engaged in commercialization strategy and health innovation.

Now back in NYC, Katarina combines her clinical expertise and business background to launch KSE Speech Therapy— offering personalized, in-home speech-language services tailored to older adults seeking privacy, dignity, and high-quality care.
